Dear 8th Grade Families,

The 8th grade is going on retreat at El Capitan Canyon! Our goals are to further build the relationships within the 8th grade and at the same time give each student the opportunity to quietly reflect on themselves and their lives.

There are several ESSENTIAL things that you need to bring for the solo:

•WARM clothes (i.e. hat, gloves, parka, long underwear, warm pants). If you haven’t noticed, it’s cold during the early morning hours. We’ll be out of our tents then, so BUNDLE UP!

•Daypack/water bottle and journal/paper and pen to record your thoughts.

Please review the following pages where you will find a schedule and equipment list for the retreat. Personally, I’m excited for everything that we plan to do and can’t imagine participating in the third overnight 8th grade retreat with a better group of kids!
