My name is Teresa Jamison and I began teaching 6th and 7th grade English at SBMS in 1996. In the afternoons, I teach a beading, gardening, and/or walking elective. My educational background includes SBHS ROP Greenhouse Occupations, DPHS where I started the Environmental Awareness Club in the 70’s, SBCC, Semester at Sea, Cal Poly SLO/BA, Cal Lutheran/M. Ed., and the UCSB TESL program.

While teaching English as a second language, I’ve learned a greater understanding of and appreciation for grammar and communication, and I work to share this with students through project based learning. I’ve ridden my bike along the Great Wall of China, but on trips you’ll usually find me with the “tail” walking, talking, singing, encouraging, cajoling and conquering mountains! On weekends you will most likely find me kayaking or paddle boarding, tending to my mini-farm in the city, or helping my parents enjoy their golden years.
