I’ve been a full time teacher for 30 years. I spent twenty two years in Special Education and the last eight years at SBMS. I have a B.S. degree in Experimental Psychology from Fordham University and a minor in Biology; a B.A. degree in Physical Education and a M.A. in Education from UCSB and California State Teaching Credentials in Biology, Health Education, History, Severely Handicapped Education, Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education.

Pre-hospital medical care has been a life-long interest of mine: I was part of the first class of Emergency Medical

Technicians in Manhattan, N.Y. in the late ‘60’s. My personal favorite subject in Life Science is the topic of Evolution and I have read extensively on the subject.

In addition to Life Science, I also help coach Volleyball and teach Martial Arts, Floor Hockey, Swimming, Ocean Sports, Weight Lifting and coordinate the Winter Mountaineering Program.

Santa Barbara Middle School is a unique educational experience and I am fortunate to be part of this extraordinary group of teachers and students.
