1. Secure an alternative site to purchase or long-term lease in the Santa Barbara
   area.
2. Negotiate within two years a long-term lease of 20 years or more for the
   current site.

Goal #2. Strengthen the school’s financial base to secure its future.
Actions:

1. Complete a Long Range Financial Plan that supports the Strategic Plan.
2. Establish and grow an Endowment Fund.
3. Increase unrestricted General Reserves.
4. Complete a Long Range Development Plan that supports the Strategic Plan.

Goal #3. Enhance student learning.
Actions:

1. Retain, develop, and recruit exceptional faculty and staff.
2. Evaluate our Educational Programs to ensure excellence and relevance to our core Mission.
3. Increase faculty planning time.

Goal #4. Strengthen the Santa Barbara Middle School community.
Actions:

1. Increase the diversity of the faculty, staff and student body.
2. Increase the Access Fund.
3. Strengthen alumni presence.
4. Enhance the school’s image within the greater community.
5. Improve environmental awareness and performance.
6. Improve and expand parent support and education.
