Who determines financial aid awards?
The SBMS Financial Aid Committee, whose members are kept confidential, administers SBMS' financial aid program. Awards are strictly need-based and follow the school’s Financial Aid Policy and Principles of Good Practice defined by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

If I have more than one child at SBMS, do I need to submit multiple applications?
No. If you will have more than one student at SBMS next year, please complete only one PFS for your family. Use the name of your oldest SBMS student on line lA of the PFS. We hope that using this process will help simplify your application to SBMS.

If I am applying for financial aid at multiple schools, do I need to submit multiple applications?
No. You need only complete one application if you are applying for financial aid at more than one school using the SSS service. In the PFS, you may select the schools to which you would like to send your financial information. Most of the independent schools in the Santa Barbara area use the SSS service.
