Watercolor and Resist Underwater Scenes
During the project students focused on the following to create lively underwater landscapes:
- Watercolor techniques – washes, blending colors, applying salt crystals to wet areas
- Batik-like linear effect – using watercolor resist on all contour lines
- Use of warm and cool colors for contrast and vibration – one color group for the foreground and the other for the background
