The snow capped mountains and lush pine forests await us!  In just a few short weeks we will venture north to Oregon!  We will begin our exploration just south of Bend, in the shadow of Mt Bachelor, heading south-west following the Deschutes River.  We then travel from one beautiful lake to the next through the high desert forests.  Once we cross the eastern Cascades we journey along the Rogue River to arrive in Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival.  The days are long here in the north and the plentiful rains have made the green even greener!  It is magnificient country to behold!  Bring your Pioneer Spirit!

Pre-trip checklist:

All of May                   RIDE YOUR BIKE!!

 

Mon, May 17               Authorization for Dispensing Medication form AND 

$75.00 (9th grade) due to the office

                                    $65.00 (8th grade) due to the office.

 

Thurs, May 27             Bring bikes to school to be packed. 

8th Grade - Make sure your rack pack is removed & packed in your duffels.

 

TRIP ITINERARY:

Sun, May 30                9th GRADE – Be at SBMS at 8am.  Depart in school vans.  Drive to San Francisco.

 

Mon. May 31               8th GRADE - Be at Amtrak Station at 11:30am with both of your duffels, your day pack, food & your sleeping bag.  Depart for Oregon.

 

                                    9th Grade – Drive to Mt Shasta.

 

Tues, June 1                 8th GRADE - Arrive in Chemult.  Bus to La Pine State Park.

                                    9th GRADE – Arrive at La Pine State Park.

 

Wed, June 2                 Ride to Crane Prairie Resevoir

Thurs, June 3               Ride to Crescent Lake

 

Fri, June 4           Ride to Diamond Lake

Sat, June 5                   Ride to Farewell Bend campground      

        

Sun, June 6                  Ride to Willow Lake

 

Mon, June 7                 Ride to Howard Prairie Lake

Tues, June 8                 Ride to Ashland – Emigrant Lake

 

Wed, June 9                 8th GRADE – attend 2pm matinee of Well

Dinner out in Ashland then board bus for Klamath Falls to catch train home.

 

 

9th GRADE - attend 2pm matinee of Hamlet

Dinner out in Ashland and camp at Emigrant Lake.

 

 

Thurs, June 10             8th GRADE – Arrive at SB Amtrak Station at 6:17pm

 

                                    9th GRADE – Drive to Bay Area.  Camp.

 

Fri, June 11                  9th GRADE – Arrive at SBMS at 2pm.
