High School Transition

Prepared for Life

At Santa Barbara Middle School, students develop a lifelong love of learning, confidence, compassion, and a deep commitment to service. They leave our community not only academically strong but also prepared to navigate life with resilience and purpose.

The majority of our graduates excel in GATE, Honors, and Advanced Placement (AP) programs in high school, often earning top academic honors and community service awards.

Many go on to attend the nation’s finest universities, carrying forward the leadership, curiosity, and integrity they cultivated at SBMS.

Through the 9th Grade Program, student enter 10th Grade a step ahead.

Students who complete our 9th grade enter high school in the 10th grade with more credits, honors units and community service hours than their peers.
