We specialize in the middle school years!
Independent day school for grade 6-9
For almost 50 years, we’ve been setting the pace with an advanced academic and experiential curriculum focusing on intellectual vitality. We specialize in this age group and recognize that during this transition to adolescence, the foundation is solidified for a child’s self-esteem, self-confidence, and sense of personal responsibility.
The Diamond Curriculum
Our educational environment facilitates academic achievement while bolstering all aspects of a child’s well-being. Our diamond curriculum has four main components: Academics, Outdoor Education, Creative Arts and Sports, and Community. It is designed to fortify the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional vitality of the whole child.
Compassionate Leaders | Problem Solvers | Global Thinkers
Many of our alums say SBMS was their most formative, positive, and powerful educational experience. We challenge students to develop life skills in all areas within the stability of a safe and nurturing community. Leadership, self-advocacy, creative problem-solving, compassion for others, and global awareness distinguish our graduates.
