Get to know SBMS-Student Perspective
With COVID-19 limiting on-campus visitors, we are excited to offer virtual opportunities to get to know SBMS better from a student perspective! This year we are doing what SBMS does best, learning and growing to adjust to these unprecedented times. As long as you have requested information (link above), you are good to go! We will be sending regular emails out to invite your student to participate in virtual lunch “shadows”, Lick the Plate cooking classes with current students and teachers, virtual Friday Town Meetings, and more! We can’t wait to welcome your student to participate in our community!
Please complete and submit the online application. There is a $100.00 application fee which is payable via credit card online, cash, or check. The application is due by February 5, 2021 for priority consideration.
The following forms must be completed as part of the application. All of these forms are available in your online application and will be uploaded directly into your online application portal.
The Assessment/Placement Test is a required part of the application process. The SBMS Assessment Test will be given virtually on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 9-11:30 am and Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 4-6:30pm. Please sign up to take the test via the online application. You may also contact Mandy via email or call 805-682-2989 to sign up. If your child needs special accommodation as specified in an IEP or 504 Plan, please contact Pam Boswell. The ISEE test scores are also accepted. Our ISEE code # is 054116.
Completing the application is the responsibility of the applicant family. You can easily check your student’s application to see if the application is complete by logging into the online application and clicking on "status." Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by mail, and letters are mailed Friday, March 5, 2021. Some applicants may be placed on a waiting list; they will also be notified by mail.
For priority consideration, the parent portion and $100 must be submitted by February 5, 2021. The file must be complete, including transcripts, three teacher forms, student section, SBMS Assessment Test or ISEE test, by February 10, 2021.
